Women's Health Researcher, Writer and Educator.
Nourish and nurture your health.
Hi, I'm Jo and welcome to my website for Jo Campsall Nutrition and Health. I am a writer, educator, advocate for women's health, and a Nutrition and Health Coach.
I'm an explorer of food markets at home and overseas, and I love getting out for long walks in nature in the English countryside. I am a bookworm at heart, who learned the hard way in mid life that my body is not simply a transportation system for the brain. I had to learn how to take care of it.
I am now dedicated to educating and helping women manage their health challenges, so that they can get thriving again and start savouring the moment, with restored energy to do the things they really love. If you've found your way to my website, because you are struggling with and are worried about your endometriosis - you are very warmly welcome here. I understand the endometriosis journey because I have lived it. My own symptoms began in my thirties - fifteen years ago - and was followed by an eight-year search for answers before finally receiving a diagnosis of endometriosis, when all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Alongside my medical treatment, I researched nutrition, endometriosis, menopause, chronic conditions, and went on to train in nutrition and health coaching. Step by step, I incorporated what I learned in my day to day habits. I now live symptom free, albeit with the occasional manageable flare up, and feel immense gratitude to be living re-energised, and to be operating like 'the real me' again.
This personal history is why I do what I do. I know the frustration of the 'diagnostic delay,' the reality of invisible chronic pain, and the exhaustion of trying to find a way forward. My work isn't about giving you a new to-do list; it’s about breaking the science down and providing the compassionate, holistic support I wish I’d had over the previous decades.
I have transitioned from 1:1 coaching to writing, researching, and advocating. I use my background in nutrition and behavioural science to investigate holistic interventions and systemic gaps in menopause and endometriosis care. My mission is to translate complex research into actionable knowledge—cutting through the gimmicks to provide the grounded, evidence-based clarity we all deserve.
I sincerely hope that one day, we won't talk about managing life with endometriosis, and will instead talk about a cure.
But in the meantime, I see you; I get you.
