Welcome, I'm Jo!
If you've found your way here, then you are probably fed up with feeling out of sorts with your menopause transition. You want your energy and confidence back. You've had enough of not feeling like the best version of you. Perhaps it's hot flashes. Perhaps it's frustrating weight issues and low energy. Or maybe you have concerns about your risks for chronic conditions, or your your GP has recommended that you make changes to your lifestyle. And you're left with the question - how exactly do I deal with this?
I get it, I really do. No-one prepares us for how isolating health challenges and changes in midlife and beyond can sometimes be. So we quietly normalise things. Or are so busy in our lives that we 'sort of' know what we need to do, but can't quite get new habits in place.
That's where the Reset and Restore Method comes in. Sharing my science-backed guidance in nutrition and health, I will provide an honest, straight-talking caring space for you to address your approach to food and lifestyle during menopause, bring comfort to your symptoms and start flourishing again.
I have walked this walk. I went into perimenopause in my late thirties, developed severe endometriosis symptoms alongside the hormone rollercoaster, and went into a health tailspin. It led me on a ten year journey to get educated about hormones, menopause and how to support my health. The knowledge and tools I gained transformed my wellbeing and confidence.
So together, we will attend to what really matters to you. There will be no fad diets, wellness gimmicks, hype or unhelpful overload. We will work on gentle but radical shifts to fit the reality of your life. I offer a warm, collaborative, down to earth approach so that you can re-nourish your health, re-balance from chronic stress to calm, and gain core inner confidence in your ability to nurture your wellbeing. When I'm your nutrition and health coach, I not only bring cutting-edge, geeky insights and tools, but also heartfelt understanding shaped by my own experience of health challenges. We're often so preoccupied with day to day life, that we don't always realise what we've normalised and accumulated, until our body sends out the signal that all is really not okay.
